Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Eni Rovuma Basin, on behalf of the Area 4 Partners and in partnership with Standard Bank Business Incubator, announces that 25 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) completed the first entrepreneurship support program, denominated iCreate. This program was implemented as part of the Coral South project local content plan and aimed to strengthen the capabilities of the SMEs already established in the market, with high potential to growth, in order to make them more competitive and sustainable in the long term.<\/p>\n

The program had a duration of 12 weeks, from September 30 to December 10, and it was designed having in mind the challenges and the needs that the SMEs are facing, due to the uncertainties caused by the current economic situation.<\/p>\n

Divided in 3 phases, the iCreate program was comprised of one-to-one advisory sessions with a dedicated Growth wheel certified business advisor, where the participants had the opportunity to have a 360\u00ba assessment of their business; seven workshop sessions with the objective of inspiring the participants to identify opportunities to promote changes in their business; 11 masterclasses that covered subjects such as digital market, Health Safety and Environment, Contract & Procurement, access to finance and more.<\/p>\n

The Managing Director of Eni Rovuma Basin, Giorgio Vicini, highlighted the importance of supporting the SMEs development by saying \u201cEni and the Area 4 Partners are fully committed with the development of Local Content and this program is part of our efforts to improve the capabilities of Mozambican SMEs, in order to allow them to participate more actively in the economic development of the country\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 25 SMEs considered the training program a great plus for their business, especially during these difficult times that have a huge impact on the economy and directly affect small and medium enterprises.<\/p>\n

Eni Rovuma Basin<\/b><\/p>\n

is the Delegated Operator leading the Coral South Project and the construction and operation of offshore facilities in Area 4 of the Rovuma basin, offshore the northern coast of Mozambique. The Area 4 Concession is located offshore the Cabo Delgado province in northern Mozambique and is operated by Mozambique Rovuma Venture S.p.A (owned by Eni SpA, ExxonMobil Development Africa BV and CNODC Dutch Cooperatief UA), which holds a seventy percent participation interest alongside Galp Energia Rovuma BV, Kogas Mo\u00e7ambique Ltd and Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos EP, each with a ten percent participation interest.<\/p>\n
