Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>More than four hundred tons of tilapia, farmed in the Cahora Bassa reservoir in Tete province, were processed this year and exported through Beira fishing port in Sofala province.<\/p>\n

The export of tilapia fish results from a contract signed recently between the company Chicoa Fish, based in Tete\u2019s Songo district, and the management of Beira fishing port.<\/p>\n

Director Ant\u00f3nio Rem\u00e9dio said that the number of fish farmers intending to engage in processing services is on the rise.<\/p>\n

Rem\u00e9dio also noted that contacts with industrial and semi-industrial fishing operators intended to fully exploit the 500-ton capacity of the port\u2019s six cold storage rooms were ongoing.<\/p>\n
