Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Mozambican government and partners have invested US$3.15 million in the electrification of Mitande administrative post in Mandimba, Niassa province.<\/p>\n

The 33kV subsection of the national grid, which took three months to install, will supply electricity to 3,000 families.<\/p>\n

So far, at least 1,423 families are already benefiting from the new power supply, which is galvanizing development in the region.<\/p>\n

The new infrastructure was inaugurated by President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, during his two-day visit to Niassa.<\/p>\n

The head of the administrative post of Mitande, in Mandimba, Carlos Ussene, said that the electrification of the region would prompt significant advances in the social and economic areas<\/p>\n

On Thursday (20-01), the first day of his visit, President Nyusi visited Metangula, a district in Lago, where he visited the naval base and various socio-economic enterprises.<\/p>\n
