Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has dismissed Tim\u00f3teo Bernardo from the position of Deputy Commander-General of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) and, in his place, appointed Fernando Francisco Tsucana, who previously held the position of Deputy-Rector of the Academy of Police Sciences (ACIPOL), after having promoted Tsucana to the rank of Commissioner of the PRM, in the rank of General Officers, of Deputy Commissioner of Police.<\/p>\n

President Nyusi has promoted Brigadier Eug\u00e9nio Augusto Roque (former Chief of Staff of the Casa Militar \u2013 Presidential Guard) to the rank of Major General, and appointed him head of the Casa Militar, replacing Tiago Alberto Nampele. In Mozambique, the sitting president is protected by the Presidential Guard (Casa Militar da Presid\u00eancia da Rep\u00fablica).<\/p>\n

Tiago Alberto Nampele will henceforth assume the functions of Commander of the Army Branch [Mozambique Armed Defence Forces, FADM] .<\/p>\n

In the Mozambican Civic Service, the President of the Republic appointed Ezequiel Isac Muianga to the position of commander of that organ, replacing Messias Andr\u00e9 Niposso.<\/p>\n

In the field of promotions, Nyusi promoted Colonels Est\u00eav\u00e3o Francisco, Ricardo Armando Eug\u00e9nio Macuvele , Omar Nal\u00e1 Saranga, Francisco Maur\u00edcio Assane, and Leonardo da Gra\u00e7a Dimas to the ranks of Brigadiers, and Navy Captain Bernardo Est\u00eav\u00e3o Nchokomala to the post of Commodore.<\/p>\n
