Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Several portals of Mozambican public and government institutions were partially inoperable today, replaced by a page announcing a cyber attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cHacked by Yemeni \u2018hackers’\u201d is the title of the page [showing on the hacked websites], written in English and sporting an image of a man wearing a headscarf and brandishing a machine gun. The image appears replicated when one tries to enter different sites.<\/p>\n

Among the targets are the portals of the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD), the National Roads Administration, the Southern Regional Water Administration and the National Land Transport Institute (INATTER).<\/p>\n

However, in the case of INATTER, the subdomain exams.inatter.gov.mz, used by students and driving schools, is operating normally.<\/p>\n

In other cases, the page announcing the attack is present on the sites but may go unnoticed and only appear if directly invoked in the address, as is the case of the Ministry of Defence.<\/p>\n

The page replicated on all the inoperable sites announces in the footer that there has been data extracted and that it will be sold at a low price, but without displaying evidence.<\/p>\n

At the same time, there are several institutional websites with high notoriety that are operating normally, including those of the Government, of the Presidency of the Republic, the Bank of Mozambique, the Ministry of Health, the Covid-19 portal, the National Statistics Institute or of the Attorney General\u2019s Office (PGR).<\/p>\n
