{"id":14575,"date":"2022-02-22T16:51:38","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T16:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/?p=14575"},"modified":"2022-02-22T15:48:12","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T15:48:12","slug":"mozambique-state-portals-are-back-online-after-cyberattack-noticias","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/all-news\/mozambique-state-portals-are-back-online-after-cyberattack-noticias","title":{"rendered":"State portals are back online after cyberattack \u2013 Noticias"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The director of National Institute of Electronic Government (INAGE) Erm\u00ednio Jasse confirmed that the portals of several Mozambican state institutions had been attacked by hackers, but assured reporters that the problem had been solved with no loss of information or personal data.<\/p>\n<p>INAGE convened a press conference to explain why some government portals were put out of commission on Sunday afternoon by an attack by \u201cYemeni hackers\u2019 \u2018.<\/p>\n<p>INAGE director general Erm\u00ednio Jasse said that this was the first cyberattack to take place in Mozambique, although several occurred daily around the world, and emphasised that there was no loss of personal data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAttacks happen every day and every hour, but they are not usually successful,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this case, these were portals [only] and there was no loss of information; all information on them is for public consumption,\u201d Jasse said,<\/p>\n<p>Jasse further noted that all hacked portals had now been recovered.
