Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Mozambican government has accumulated debts to fuel supply companies operating in the country during the recent period of the price of oil rising on the international market.<\/p>\n

This debt amounts to around three billion meticais, equivalent to around US$46,989,990 at current exchange rates.<\/p>\n

This amount refers to the subsidy that the government has promised to pay, in the form of a cushion to prevent filling stations increase fuel prices during the above-mentioned period.<\/p>\n

The information was revealed on Wednesday (16-03) by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE), Paulo da Gra\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Paulo da Gra\u00e7a further said that, so far, no concrete date has been set for the repayment of the debt.<\/p>\n
