Marcelino Gildo Alberto, and Director of Transmission and Distribution of ZESA, Eng. Howard Choga, took the opportunity to discuss the possibilities of strengthening their relationship in the light of new electricity generation and transmission projects in Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>These include the Temane Thermal Power Plant Project (CTT), with 450MW of installed capacity, whose start of commercial operation is scheduled for January 2025. EDM expressed interest in a medium-long term agreement to supply energy to Zimbabwe from CTT.<\/p>\n<p>Also highlighted for the future was the Mphanda Nkuwa Hydroelectric Power Plant, with a projected capacity of up to 1500MW.
