Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The resettlement of 272 families in the Mboza region, on the outskirts of the city of Moatize, should finish this week.<\/p>\n

According to Moatize district administrator Eug\u00e9nio Muchanga, only ten of the families remain to be resettled and are still in Kapanga.<\/p>\n

Muchanga said that the resettled families would take possession of their houses early this week, putting an end to a dispute that has lasted years.<\/p>\n

Muchanga said that most of the demands of the families concerned have already been met.<\/p>\n

The more than 272 T-2 type houses in the resettlement area were built by mining company International Coal Ventures (ICVL).<\/p>\n

In addition to housing, ICVL has built a water supply system, health unit and police station in Mboza, along with educational establishments, a market and other social infrastructure.<\/p>\n
