Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, left Maputo this morning for a state visit to Botswana, until the 16th of April.<\/p>\n

President Nyusi is accompanied by his wife; First Lady Isaura Ferr\u00e3o Nyusi, by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ver\u00f3nica Macamo; of Transport and Communications, Janfar Abdulai; of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula; the Minister in the President\u2019s Office for Civil House Affairs Constantino Bacela; and the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Carlos Zacarias.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Oleg\u00e1rio Banze; the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Ludovina Bernardo; the Governor of Cabo Delgado Valige Tauabo; and the Governor of Maputo Province J\u00falio Parruque are also travelling with the President to Botswana, as are members of the staff from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institution , according to a press release by the Presidency.<\/p>\n

The visit comes in response to an invitation from President Nyusi\u2019s Botswana counterpart, Mokgweetsi Masisi and aims to \u201cstrengthen, deepen and consolidate the historical relations of brotherhood, friendship, solidarity and cooperation that exist between the two peoples and countries\u201d.<\/p>\n

During his visit, Filipe Nyusi will hold official talks with President Masisi, as well as meeting members of the Mozambican community residing in the neighbouring country.<\/p>\n

The agenda for the visit of the Head of State also includes participation in the Mozambique-Botswana Business Forum, as well as the inauguration of the Samora Machel Museum, in Lobatse, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
