Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Fura Gems is set to hold it second auction of rubies from Mozambique this week.<\/p>\n

The coloured stone miner\u2019s rubies first went up for auction last September.<\/p>\n

Now, they are available to select members of the trade from April 21-29 in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

The event will have 419,000 carats of rubies on display, ranging from large single stones to big quantities of calibrated sizes, Fura said.<\/p>\n

Fura began operating in the area in 2018 with the acquisition of licenses from New Energy Minerals Ltd.<\/p>\n

The company now holds a 100 percent interest in three ruby licenses, an 80 percent interest in the three ruby licenses, and 70 percent in one license in the Montepuez District of Cabo Delgado Province in Mozambique.<\/p>\n

The assets are located in the Montepuez District and comprise nearly 68,283 hectares of both primary and secondary deposits with both higher and lower quality rubies.<\/p>\n

Fura also just held its second auction of rough Colombian emeralds in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The coloured stone miner said 50 lots of the 54 exhibited in the auction were sold.<\/p>\n
