Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>As voting for the October 11 2023 municipal elections nears, the CNE is already preparing to ensure the credibility of the process.<\/p>\n

However, there are challenges: the National Elections Commission has a budget deficit of more than 2.2 billion meticais [around US$34.4million].<\/p>\n

Despite the challenges, Paulo Cuinica says that progress has already been made, even in areas affected by terrorism.<\/p>\n

The information was shared during a roundtable that brought together the CNE, political parties and civil society, with the aim of discussing the main challenges facing the electoral processes in light of the forthcoming sixth round of municipal elections.<\/p>\n
