Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Resili\u00eancia Literature Festival returns this year in a face-to-face edition at the Cam\u00f5es Cultural Centre in Maputo and the Nedbank Business Lounge on the 3rd and 4th of May.<\/p>\n

In addition to the five years of the Sea Horse\u2019s existence, this edition, under the central theme, \u201cAnd now what, Jos\u00e9?\u201d, celebrates three important authors in Mozambique and in the world: Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha, Jos\u00e9 Saramago and Jos\u00e9 Pastor.<\/p>\n

The festival, which coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Cavalo do Mar publishing house, is fast becoming a reference in the literary world. Resili\u00eancia 5 will feature an unprecedented book fair, with a single price for all works. With the event returning to a face-to-face format, the public will also be able to obtain autographs and better interact with the authors.<\/p>\n

\u201cResili\u00eancia 5 has this year a format that expresses the dialogue and encounter between literature and the other arts, which also reflects the profile of the authors to be celebrated: men of culture and deep relationships with music. Hence, music will be present at almost every conversation table. In total, there will be 18 guests, including poets, writers, journalists, teachers, actors and musicians,\u201d the festival programme reads.<\/p>\n

For the opening day \u2013 Tuesday, May 3 \u2013 a conversation between Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa and Mingas, moderated by journalist Jos\u00e9 dos Rem\u00e9dios, is scheduled, followed by a meeting between Armando Artur, Rog\u00e9rio Manjate and Portuguese writer Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Peixoto, moderated by Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Siopa. To close the day, in what will certainly be one of the highlights of the festival, there will be a performance by the writer M\u00e9lio Tinga and musician Thapelo Motseghwe, in dialogue with Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha, Jos\u00e9 Saramago and Jos\u00e9 Pastor.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, at the Nedbank Business Lounge, poet \u00c1lvaro Taruma meets the singer Xixel Langa, around the work \u2018Mat\u00e9ria Para Um Grito\u2019, moderated by poet Filimone Meigos. There follows the poetry of Jos\u00e9 Pastor through the voices of Ana Magaia and Guilherme Mussane, under the moderation of Olga Pires.<\/p>\n

To close the day and the festival, writer Luc\u00edlio Manjate meets Lenna Bahule to discuss the work \u2018A Triste Hist\u00f3ria de Barcolino\u2019, moderated by the poet Mbate Pedro.<\/p>\n

The Resili\u00eancia Literature Festival has been organised by publishers Cavalo do Mar since 2018, with a view to promoting books and reading and encouraging a greater circulation of works by Mozambican authors, inside and outside the country. Its aim is to contribute to the formation of a resilient literature and reading public in Mozambique and the CPLP generally.<\/p>\n
