Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The police in Tete province have detained a member of the Municipal Assembly on charges of fraud and false qualifications, a police source said on Friday.<\/p>\n

He is a member of the bench of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM) in the Municipal Assembly of Tete, in central Mozambique, and was detained on Wednesday, police spokeswoman, Deolinda Matsinhe said.<\/p>\n

According to Mozambican authorities, the man was caught in Moatize district trying to scam businesspeople and traders, claiming that he was part of the National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE).<\/p>\n
