Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Condor Anacardium, a cashew processing facility located in Macia Village, inaugurated a Daycare Centre in its facility for its workers\u2019 children.<\/p>\n

The opening event took place on the 6th of May, at 2:30 pm, and was attended by the children\u2019s mothers and families, as well as several guests who support the project.<\/p>\n

With the Daycare Centre, Condor Anacardium intends to \u201cprepare the children for their entry in the School, allowing them to have access to a dedicated and safe place, right from the beginning of their academic life\u201d, said Gon\u00e7alo Correia, the company director, in his speech at the event.<\/p>\n

The Daycare Centre is open to the workers\u2019 children who are up to 5 years old, and there is no financial cost to the parents. Two meals a day are offered to each child.<\/p>\n

The project is an initiative supported by two of the company\u2019s clients, Lorenz and Brynild, who were also able to attend the opening event.<\/p>\n

The three companies believe that \u201ceducation is the foundation of all human development\u201d. Condor Anacardium processes cashew nuts, and has around 800 workers on its factory, of which 85% are women.<\/p>\n
