Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Bank of Mozambique will complete the modernization of its electronic payment system next year, to counter possible cyber threats in the country.<\/p>\n

The program will allow financial operations anywhere in the country or in the world to take place safely.<\/p>\n

The goal was conceived in the light of the bank\u2019s strategic plan 2022-2023, which advocates the modernisation and improvement of the electronic payments system for all subsidiaries.<\/p>\n

The guarantee was given in the city of Tete on Thursday by Rog\u00e9rio Zandamela, governor of the Central Bank [Bank of Mozambique], at the opening of the third meeting of the directors of the institution\u2019s branches.<\/p>\n

Zandamela said that the central bank had made conspicuous progress in the handling of checks to other countries in the world, thanks to the modernization of the payment system.<\/p>\n

The one-day meeting addressed five topics relevant to security and the financial system modernization strategy in Mozambique.<\/p>\n
