Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Transitex recently opened an office in New Delhi, with the aim of boosting trade between Mozambique and India. The company says that coal and pulses are among India\u2019s main interests in Mozambique.<\/p>\n

Transitex is a global freight forwarder specialising in international door-to-door cargo transport. With its new office in India, Transitex intends to strengthen the exchange of goods and products between Mozambique and the Asian country.<\/p>\n

\u201cTransitex\u2019s objective, in this initiative, is to contribute to the growth of the economic partnership between the two countries,\u201d the company states in a press release.<\/p>\n

The logistics operator also reveals that coal and pulses are among India\u2019s main interests in Mozambique, which exported around 1.5 million tonnes to that Asian country last year alone.<\/p>\n

Already present in Mozambique for 13 years, Transitex has consolidated its expansion in the national market through strong commitment and investment made between 2019 and 2020. Today, the company has a team of 100 employees, distributed across Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Nampula and Pemba, supported by a road transport fleet and six warehouses across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision to open a branch in New Delhi, the Indian capital, was based on the need to guarantee Transitex customers the provision of reference services, through its own team, at the both the origin and destination of the cargo,\u201d the company announcement reads.<\/p>\n

New Delhi is the company\u2019s most recent new branch, and its second on the Asian continent, after China in 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndia is a rising giant and has commercial relations with all countries where Transitex is present. This, combined with our desire to serve our customers, leads us to be bold and to invest without hesitation in this market. The opening of Transitex India was a planned and projected management exercise based on our vision for the operation,\u201d the company says.<\/p>\n

Transitex\u2019s projections suggest that, with the entry into India, turnover could grow by 20% globally.<\/p>\n

The company emphasises that the Indian market has close commercial relations with countries in which the company is already present, with the emphasis on African markets such as Tanzania (in 2020, 15% of the total value of that country\u2019s exports went to India), Mozambique, Malawi and South Africa.<\/p>\n
