Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>A young man in his early 30s drowned late this Sunday morning at Praia do Xai-Xai, in the Gaza province municipality of the same name.<\/p>\n

Witnesses say that the ill-fated man set out in the company of a friend who had invited him to go fishing, but ended up falling into deep water.<\/p>\n

Two fishermen tried to revive the young man using lifesaving techniques, but to no avail.<\/p>\n

The Public Salvation Corps went to the beach two hours later, but the body remained there for more than five hours pending the arrival of the Criminal Investigation Police (SERNIC) team.<\/p>\n

The Public Salvation Corps tried to prevent TV Limpopo filming proceedings on the grounds that SERNIC authorisation was necessary.<\/p>\n
