Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Christian Council of Mozambique in Cabo Delgado has suspended the channelling of humanitarian aid to families in Ancuabe displaced by terrorism, due to the difficulty in transporting goods.<\/p>\n

Difficulty accessing Ancuabe district results from the terrorist attack that took place in Nanduli village last week, according to the delegate of the Christian Council of Mozambique in Cabo Delgado, Emerson Ubisse.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuppliers are rather afraid to travel or transport material and food via these roads. We still have to wait for the atmosphere to calm down. The institutions responsible for security should inform [us] whether we can circulate or not, and based on that information we will see if we continue or change strategy or even the place of action. All we want is to guarantee the safety of populations and activists,\u201d Ubisse said.<\/p>\n

The channelling of humanitarian aid from the Christian Council of Mozambique to families living in Ancuabe was suspended on account of difficulties in accessing the district.<\/p>\n
