Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Over 1,600 new African member companies have registered with Dubai Chambers since October 2021, growing 6.5 per cent to reach 26,420 today.<\/p>\n

In October 2021, the Chamber hosted the sixth edition of the Global Business Forum Africa (GBF Africa) on the sidelines of Expo 2020 Dubai \u2013 bringing together UAE and African companies to discuss business prospects and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n

Besides the forum, the new strategy implemented by Dubai International Chamber, also boosted membership, which aims to attract companies and foreign direct investment from the continent to the emirate. Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, chairman of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the role played by Dubai International Chamber in attracting African businesses to the Dubai market and connecting local companies with business opportunities emerging across the continent.<\/p>\n

Dubai International Chamber operates four representative offices in Kenya, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Ghana, facilitating trade and investment flows between Africa and Dubai. It also announced plans to open a representative office in Tel Aviv last month.<\/p>\n

Dubai International Chamber is also opening a new representative office in Mexico City, to expand its presence in Latin America.<\/p>\n
