Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Rehabilitation of state services buildings in districts affected by terrorism in the Cabo Delgado province could cost the state over 638 million meticais, according to an assessment by the Ministry of State Administration and Civil Service.<\/p>\n

The work will cover infrastructure destroyed by terrorists operating in the province since late 2017 in seven districts: Moc\u00edmboa da Praia, Palma, Quissanga, Muidumbe, Macomia, Meluco and Ibo.<\/p>\n

Moc\u00edmboa da Praia will consume most of this amount, with the rehabilitation of the district government building, reconstruction of four district service facilities and the Municipal Council and Municipal Assembly buildings, in addition to the construction of three secretariats for the administrative posts of Diaca, Mbau and the headquarters post, and three administrative secretariats for the locality of Nnango.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Macomia district needs just over 141 million meticais for the rehabilitation of the district government building, two district services buildings, reconstruction of the district government session hall, four administrative secretariats of the administrative post of Macomia (headquarters), Chai, Mucojo and Quiterajo, and eight administrative secretariats in Macomia-sede, Nguida, Nkoe, Chai-sede, Nacate, Mucojo-sede, Pangane and Quiterajo-sede.<\/p>\n

Third comes the district of Muidumbe, with an estimated budget of more than 120 million meticais for the partial rehabilitation of the district government building housing the office of the administrator and five directorates, construction of the secretariat of the administrative post of Chitunda, and seven locality secretariats in Namaluco, Cagembe, Tororo, Quissanga-sede, Mahate-sede, Bilibiza-sede and Intapuate.<\/p>\n

In Palma district, the proposal provides for a budget of 93,711,324 meticais; Quissanga, 99,636,324 meticais; Meluco, 11,000,000 meticais; and Ibo, 11,500,000 meticais.<\/p>\n

These figures were presented and discussed at the Coordinating Council of the Ministry of State Administration and Public Service held recently in the city of Maputo. The government will raise the funding from partners and local economic agents.<\/p>\n
