Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>KARMOL has delivered basic food items and hygiene items to 480 children from two social solidarity institutions in Nacala, in Nampula province. Mainly food items such as flour, oil and rice were donated, but also diapers.<\/p>\n

This solidarity action took place on Wednesday, July 13, within the scope of the celebrations of the Eid Al-Adha (Muslim Festival of Sacrifice) with the aim of helping the most fragile, since many of the children covered are orphans and suffer from diseases, at the level of malnutrition.<\/p>\n

The initiative was directed at the Mother and Child Support Centre Madre Pilar, which welcomes 350 children, and the UMMU AIMAN DirectAid Shelter Centre, which provides assistance to 130 children and young people.<\/p>\n

The donated material was delivered by KARMOL representatives who, on the occasion, reinforced the company\u2019s commitment to the communities where it operates, with a view to improving the living conditions of the populations. This action follows on from other social responsibility initiatives that KARMOL has been carrying out periodically, providing support to various social and hospital institutions in the region, also assisting numerous times in cases of natural disasters.<\/p>\n

Maria Berenice Alzape, responsible for the Mother and Child Support Centre Madre Pilar, thanked KARMOL for the help, stressing that this was not the first time that the company had supported children sheltered by its institution. Hamza Daduo, responsible for the UMMU AIMAN Direct Aid Reception Centre, also praised the company\u2019s solidarity gesture, referring to the importance of all the help he has received from the company to face the day-to-day challenges.<\/p>\n

As a responsible and attentive company, KARMOL thus reinforces its commitment to Mozambique and, in particular, to the communities where it operates, providing support to the most vulnerable.<\/p>\n
