Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Mozambique on Tuesday passed the 1,000 deaths due to Covid-19, registering 17 more deaths and 1,331 infections, the Ministry of Health announced in the bulletin on the last 24 hours of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The deaths were declared between Friday and Tuesday, the ministry said in a daily data update note. The victims \u2013 nine women or girls and eight men or boys \u2013 were aged between two and 88 years old.<\/p>\n

One death was declared last Friday (Juy 9). 13 deaths were declared on Monday (July 12) and three deaths were declared on Tuesday (July 13).<\/p>\n

The Ministry\u2019s statement added tat 331 more patients had recovered in the previous 14 hours..<\/p>\n

The total of deaths in the country rises to 1,013 and cases to 91,886, 80% of which have recovered.<\/p>\n

Mozambique has 16,658 active cases, of which 372 are hospitalised.<\/p>\n

A total of 646,838 suspected cases have been tested in the country since March 2020, of which 4,327 in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

According to the most recent assessment by the agency France-Presse, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 4,044,816 deaths worldwide, among more than 187.2 million cases of infection by the new coronavirus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
