Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Mozambique\u2019s National Economic Activities Inspectorate (INAE) is ordering the withdrawal the ATL line of cosmetics from the market, because it contains butylphenyl methylpropional, or lilial, a substance considered toxic, as a fragrance ingredient.
\nLilial, or lily aldehyde, is a synthetic fragrance which has been banned in personal care and cosmetic products in the European Union and United Kingdom since March of this year, because of the risks it poses to health.
\nThe INAE has consequently decided to ban the sale in Mozambique of ATL Hydrating Cream in 100g, 400g, 1000ml and 1kg packages, as shown in the image.
\nEconomic agents are advised to declare to the inspecting entities the existence of any ATL products, with the lot numbers concerned, so as to ensure appropriate treatment.
\nConsumers are requested to report the marketing of, or their possession of any products affected by the measure via the INAE complaint line 1464, or by email at: reclama\u00e7\u00f5es@inae.gov.mz\u00a0or\u00a0denuncias@inae.gov.mz<\/p>\n
