Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, participates, this Tuesday and Wednesday, in the 42nd Ordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government, in Kinshassa, Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n

. The SADC Summit will take place on 17 and 18 August 2022 at Palais du Peuple (Parliament Building).<\/p>\n

According to a communiqu\u00e9 from the Presidency of the Republic received by R\u00e1dio Mo\u00e7ambique, the SADC Summit will address, among other matters, political and peace and security issues, as well as economic and social ones, within the framework of strengthening regional integration.<\/p>\n

During the Summit, President F\u00e9lix Tshisekedi Tshilombo of the DRC will take over the chairpersonship of SADC from President Lazarus Chakwera of the Republic of Malawi.<\/p>\n

The Kinshasa Summit will take place under the motto \u201cPromoting industrialisation through, agro-processing, mineral beneficiation, and regional value chains for inclusive and resilient economic growth\u201d.<\/p>\n

President Filipe Nyusi will be accompanied by the deputy ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gon\u00e7alves; Agriculture and Rural Development, Oleg\u00e1rio Banze; Economy and Finance, Am\u00edlcar Tivane; Mineral Resources and Energy, Ant\u00f3nio Sa\u00edde; General Commander of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, Bernardino Rafael; deputy chief of the General Staff, Bertolino Capitine; Mozambican High Commissioner in Botswana, Domingos Fernandes; members of staf of the Presidency of the Republic and other State institutions.<\/p>\n
