Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The population that had taken refuge in the woods near the village of Kutua, in Er\u00e1ti district, Nampula province, following the attack perpetrated on Friday by a group of terrorists, has already resumed their normal life, after they withdrew from the region, Not\u00edcias reports this Tuesday. The return of the population follows \u201can intelligence work\u201d carried out shortly after the attack, district administrator, Manuel Manussa, told Not\u00edcias.<\/p>\n

In the incursion into the village, the terrorist group burned houses and a local health centre. Manussa said that the inhabitants of Kutua village, whose number was not specified, were already circulating and moving freely to their \u2018machambas\u2019 [agricultural fields].<\/p>\n

The government official said that the terrorists did not actually occupy the village. He added that, after the fear spread by the attack and the \u201cintelligence work\u201d carried out, it was now possible to reach Kutua from the Er\u00e1ti district headquarters town and other routes.<\/p>\n

The village of Kutua borders the province of Cabo Delgado, across the river L\u00fario (200-300 metres), and limits with the district of Memba. It is about 300 kilometres distant from the city of Nampula.<\/p>\n
