The insurgents are already on the run, launching only occasional attacks<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecurity in Palma is at a higher level prior to the attack. Success in the fight against terrorists in the axis Moc\u00edmboa da Praia and Palma, including access roads to the port of Palma, offer higher stability,\u201d said Nyusi this Wednesday (14), during the opening ceremony of the 7th Mozambican Gas and Energy Summit and Exhibition, a two day event under way in Maputo.<\/p>\n<p>Nyusi also called TotalEnergies to resume its operations, which have been suspended since 24 March, 2021 when it declared force majeure.<\/p>\n<p>The attack took place near its logistics site in Afungi peninsula where the implementation of the Mozambique LNG project is taking place.<\/p>\n<p>Nyusi explains that terrorism is a global phenomenon which requires concerted efforts of all countries, since it is a major threat to peace and stability across the continent and the world.<\/p>\n<p>The government is also concerned with the delay in the signing of the Final Investment Decision for Area 4.<\/p>\n<p>According to Nyusi, the world is currently facing an energy crisis witnessed by the growing demand of gas due to suspension of supplies from Russia to the European market.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, due to its geographical location Mozambique is a suitable candidate to fill the gap and is a viable alternative for gas supplies from the Middle East, in addition to its vast natural deposits.<\/p>\n<p>The summit brings together representatives of domestic and international energy industry who will discuss policies, project development and energy transition in Mozambique.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"PR diz que sucesso no combate ao terrorismo ir\u00e1 melhorar opera\u00e7\u00f5es no sector\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/twxJW2dYRJ8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\">Mozambique<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Mozambique.
