Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Mozambican Women\u2019s Organisation (OMM) on Friday expressed its unconditional support for the re-election of Filipe Nyusi, to another 5-year term as presidency of Frelimo, the ruling party in Mozambique.<\/p>\n

Nyusi is also the incumbent Mozambique\u2019s President, following is victory in the 2019 presidential elections.<\/p>\n

The support, which joins that of Organisation of Mozambican Youth (OJM), was expressed in the greeting message presented to the Frelimo president at the opening of the 12th Congress, currently taking place in the town of Matola, in the southern province of Maputo.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr President we, Mozambican women, want to pledge our total and unconditional support for your candidacy for President of our glorious Frelimo Party. We women are with you,\u201d said OMM Secretary-General Mariazinha Niquice.<\/p>\n

\u2033We wish to reaffirm, here, on behalf of all our delegations present here, our support for another term in the leadership of Frelimo\u2033, she added.<\/p>\n

In her speech, Niquice also hailed Filipe Nyusi\u2019s efforts in the fight against all ills which keep pushing back Mozambique\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

\u2033But with the leadership of Comrade President Nyusi, the country is developing and moving forward. Your presidential initiatives are numerous and we, women, celebrate and confirm them here, namely \u201dOne District, One Hospital\u2019, One District, One Court\u2019, among others \u2033, she noted.<\/p>\n

The 12th Frelimo Congress is being held under the theme \u201960 years of Frelimo Consolidating National Unity, Promoting Peace and Mozambique\u2019s Development\u2033.<\/p>\n
