Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Chimoio aerodrome in Manica province will be requalified by the end of the first half of next year (2023), and thereafter start to accommodate international and large-tonnage freight flights.<\/p>\n

Work will start at the beginning of next year. On completion, a variety of traffic should be able to pass through Chimoio.<\/p>\n

From the province of Manica, the priority will be the export of agricultural and fresh products to the international market, especially Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n

The developments were announced in Chimoio yesterday by Mozambican Airports (ADM) administrator Sai\u0301de Ju\u0301nior at a public-private dialogue and consultation meeting, where the proposal to create the Vanduzi Special Economic Zone in Manica province was also presented.<\/p>\n

According to AIM news agency quoted by Noti\u0301cias, Sai\u0301de Ju\u0301nior said that, by the end of the first half of next year, the new Chimoio airport would have facilities for passengers and cargo, as well as shops and other services.<\/p>\n

Final preparations for the start of construction are currently underway.<\/p>\n
