Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Twitter has announced that it is working on an upcoming feature that will allow users to choose who can mention them in their own tweets, comments, or other tweets.<\/p>\n

According to Jane Manchun, an app engineer who first discovered the feature, the new controls will give users the option to limit mentions.<\/p>\n

The specific date for the release of the feature is yet to be known, but it will be rolled out globally.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Twitter rolled out an \u2018unmentioned\u2019 feature to all users that allows them to remove tags from tweets they no longer want to appear on.<\/p>\n

The new feature will be an addition to the already existing option.<\/p>\n

This will help curb harassment, abuse, and trolls that happen on the platform.<\/p>\n
