Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Netflix has launched crackdown on those sharing passwords \u2013 Again.<\/p>\n

As part of Netflix\u2019s crackdown on account sharing, the firm on Tuesday launched \u201cProfile Transfer\u201d, a new feature to encourage free loaders to finally pay for their own accounts.<\/p>\n

As the feature rolls out today globally, Netflix subscribers will be notified through email.<\/p>\n

The company says it will charge more, for each extra user in the account.<\/p>\n

To ensure that happens it will be sending verification codes to see who belongs on an account and who does not.<\/p>\n

“One way or another, if you\u2019re a hanger-on in someone else\u2019s Netflix account, the company is coming for you. But at least the app won\u2019t forget how much you loved Is It Cake? anymore.” they said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The streaming platform is already suffering a loss of more than a million subscribers and is looking for other ways to earn revenue.<\/p>\n

In the same \u2018Profile Transfer\u2019, users will also be able to transfer their personalized recommendations, viewing history, saved games and other settings from one account to another.<\/p>\n

This will be helpful for those who want to switch to another account and do not want to start from scratch. Your data will not be lost once you create a new account.<\/p>\n

How to create a profile transfer<\/p>\n

You have to be notified by email as soon as Profile Transfer becomes available on your account.<\/p>\n

To transfer a profile, go to the \u201cTransfer Profile\u201d option when you hover over your profile icon in the dropdown menu on the homepage.<\/p>\n

Then simply follow the instructions.<\/p>\n

You can always turn off Profile Transfer in your account settings at any time.<\/p>\n
