{"id":28891,"date":"2022-11-04T15:14:37","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T15:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/all-news\/mozambiques-macroeconomic-index-remains-at-50-in-q3-cta"},"modified":"2022-11-04T15:21:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T15:21:56","slug":"mozambiques-macroeconomic-index-remains-at-50-in-q3-cta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/all-news\/mozambiques-macroeconomic-index-remains-at-50-in-q3-cta","title":{"rendered":"Mozambique\u2019s Macroeconomic Index remains at 50% in Q3: CTA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Business Robustness Index, released by the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) on Wednesday, November 2, points out that the macroeconomic index remained at 50% in the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main factors that explain this trend have to do with greater economic dynamics and exchange rate stability, and there have also been some negative points, such as rising prices and rising interest rates,\u201d CTA executive director Eduardo Sengo explained.<\/p>\n<p>As for the Business Robustness Index by province, Eduardo Sengo pointed out that \u201cGaza recorded significant improvements in its performance compared to the second quarter\u201d, stressing that \u201cthe factor that contributed the most was the greater business dynamism in view of the end of the constraints of the Covid-19, with emphasis on the Trade and Tourism sectors, and an increase in agricultural production due to improved weather conditions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn general, the various economic sectors recorded an improvement in business performance in the third quarter of 2022,\u201d Sengo continued, with \u201cagriculture being ahead of the others due to the peak of agricultural marketing, which included marketing in the normal circuit, the holding of fairs of agricultural products and the start-up of large agricultural enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the industry sector, there was an increase in sales due to the easing of restrictive measures and relative stabilisation of production costs,\u201d the Business Robustness Index reveals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transport sector, on the other hand, was affected with the rise in fuel costs and the updating of tariffs, with stabilisation, however, of maintenance costs,\u201d the summary further indicates.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel and tourism sector also merited a mention.<\/p>\n<p>It \u201csaw an increase in turnover due to an increase in both private and state bookings, as well as an improvement in the occupancy rate of tourist establishments\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\">Mozambique<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Mozambique.
