Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Mozambican authorities have announced the arrest of a Mozambican citizen at the administrative post of Mussacama, in the district of Moatize, in the central province of Tete, for transporting 37 Malawians without any documentation.<\/p>\n

According to the Tete provincial spokesperson for the Mozambican Police (PRM), Feliciano da Ca\u0302mara, the arrest took place last week, and the accused will answer for the crime of facilitating illegal immigration.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this arrest, the police hope to find out about the motivations that lead the individual to transport illegal immigrants. We discourage this procedure and call on the population to follow the legal procedures\u201d, the spokesperson said, quoted by the Maputo daily \u201cNoti\u0301cias.\u201d<\/p>\n

The PRM, added Da Ca\u0302mara, will remain vigilant and act in the spirit of \u201czero tolerance\u201d towards individuals who facilitate the entry into Mozambique without complying with legal procedures.<\/p>\n
