Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Knowledge, skills and competences acquired outside formal education will henceforth be recognised and certified by the Mozambican state under the Acquired Skills Recognition System (SRCA) approved this Tuesday by the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Mozambican government only recognises people whose scientific skill or knowledge has been acquired in universities or professional technical training institutions, discounting many professionals that the government itself could potentially hire, to its advantage.<\/p>\n

The government feels that some types of knowledge acquired outside of academia should be valued, and is setting about creating a platform to facilitate the recognition and certification of acquired skills and experiences.<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s Council of Ministers session also approved a regime for the inspection of road and bridge works, and considered the report on Mozambique\u2019s participation in the 13th Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries \u2013 CPLP, which took place on July 17 in the Angolan capital, Luanda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
