Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Speaking this morning at celebrations of the 33rd anniversary of the National Public Safety Service (SENSAP), Minister of the Interior Arse\u0301nia Massingue pledged support for the implementation of the SENSAP and Fire Protection laws, \u201cwhich undoubtedly constitute working instruments for the improvement and institutional organization\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe effort and selflessness of SENSAP members in pursuing the institutional mission and vision is salutary, and for this reason, on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and myself, I want to pay homage to the brave firefighters who gave their lives to allow others to continue with theirs, in full commitment to the motto \u2018Life for Life\u2019,\u201d Arse\u0301nia Massingue said, asking for a minute\u2019s silence in memory of SENSAP members who had lost their lives in the fulfilment of their mission.<\/p>\n

The Minister of the Interior encouraged SENSAP to disseminate knowledge of the safety measures to be observed by bathers, with a view to reducing the risk of drowning and the pain of mourning in Mozambican families and beyond.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ministry of the Interior is attentive to your actions and needs and is committed to institutional development, which is why it will continue to make efforts to give you the necessary support in the implementation of the recently approved laws No.10\/2021 of December 30, the SENSAP Law, and No. 7\/2021 of December 30, the Fire Protection Law, which undoubtedly constitute working instruments for institutional improvement and organization,\u201d Minister Massingue said.<\/p>\n

The minister noted that, in the scope of the creation of new administrative organization units, districts and administrative posts, and in the context of deepening decentralization, translated into the creation of new municipalities, SENSAP was challenged to bring its services closer and closer to the citizens.<\/p>\n

The Minister of the Interior also said that the training and qualification of human resources was crucial to constantly improving the quality of service provided.<\/p>\n
