Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Representatives of Yango, an international digital mobility platform, last week met the Ministry of Transport and the President of the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), with the aim of demonstrating to the Mozambican authorities how it will revolutionise urban mobility in the country.<\/p>\n

State-of-the-art technology and a commitment to partnerships with local companies are the key to offering users an accessible, effective and agile service.<\/p>\n

Already in circulation on the streets of Maputo since the beginning of November, in partnership with local operators, Yango this week presented to the capital\u2019s authorities and businesspeople their unique mobility technology, which enables swift movement at a very advantageous cost.<\/p>\n

During last week, Anton Zykov, Head of Government Relations at Yango, met CTA president Agostinho Vuma, the National Director of Transport and Communications, Fernando Sebastia\u0303o Ouana, the President of the Municipal Council Maputo, Eneas Comiche, and other municipal and government authorities.<\/p>\n

At those meetings, Zykov emphasised that Yango is not a transportation operator, but an information technology company which provides a platform to optimise the service of transportation companies as well as taxi associations. In this sense, he demonstrated absolute openness to strengthening relations with various companies and entities, including the Association of Taxis of Maputo, with whom Yango this week formalised the intention of establishing a partnership.<\/p>\n

In addition to promoting the quality and accessibility of urban transport, Zykov stressed that partnerships between the platform and local operators will help create self-employment opportunities for young people who need a win-win economic activity.<\/p>\n

Yango\u2019s list of opportunities, presented this week, further includes the platform\u2019s desire to attract foreign investors interested in the sector, and bridging the gap between international credit institutions and local companies interested in renewing taxi fleets.<\/p>\n

Security mechanisms, such as the possibility of declaring routes in real time, access to information on taxis and their drivers and a technology that monitors the driving style of drivers, who have shown interest in the platform\u2019s proposal, were also presented to the Mozambican authorities.<\/p>\n

In addition to Mozambique, Yango digital services empower local partners in Algeria, Angola, Cote d\u2019Ivoire, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Zambia, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo. The company is present in more than 20 countries in different regions of the world, including Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
