Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>South African authorities have prevented the entry of 40 Mozambicans into the country, as many individuals seek to return there after the Christmas and New Year festivities, an official source announced yesterday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have already seen a total of 40 Mozambicans attempting to enter South Africa by fraudulent means or by not using the official border,\u201d said Armando Mata, head of the Ressano Garcia border post in Maputo province, quoted by Ra\u0301dio Moc\u0327ambique.<\/p>\n

The individuals mentioned include 24 men and 16 women, aged between 23 and 54, who \u201cwere returned to the country\u201d through Ressano Garcia, on the border between Mozambique and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Armando Mata asked Mozambicans to ensure the legality of their documents so as \u201cnot to experience any inconvenience\u201d on their voyage to South Africa, highlighting coordinated operations by the South African and Mozambican border police to curb illegal immigration.<\/p>\n
