Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>At least 20,000 Mozambicans working in South African mines and on farms in South African were helped to enter and leave the country between 15 December and 3 January.<\/p>\n

Of the total number of workers assisted, 13,798 were supported in their return to work in South Africa.<\/p>\n

Help was given by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, through the National Directorate for Migratory Work, within the framework of management and labour emigration during the festive season.<\/p>\n

According to the head of the Migration Department, Alfredo Mutumucue, activity was concentrated at the Ressano Garcia and Ponta do Ouro border crossings, and at payment stations of the mining company Teba in the cities of Maputo, Xai-Xai in Gaza, and Maxixe in Inhambane.<\/p>\n
