Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Unknown individuals shot a woman dead yesterday afternoon in a beauty salon in the centre of the Mozambican capital, police in Maputo have announced.<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old victim lost her life after being shot twice, once in the head, by a group of three men, at around 3:00 p.m. in a busy beauty salon on Avenida Emi\u0301lia Dau\u0301sse in Bairro Central, police spokesman Leonel Muchina told the media.<\/p>\n

Although they were transported in a vehicle without a registration plate, the men were not masked, which could facilitate the investigation, Muchina noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is worth mentioning that we have the help of the neighbourhood video surveillance system,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Images released by some Mozambican media show the victim\u2019s body leaning on a bloodied armchair, a scenario described as \u201cbarbaric\u201d by those who witnessed it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey entered the salon and shot the lady twice, once in the back of the head and once in the chest. After that, they left calmly and drove off in a light vehicle,\u201d an eyewitness told the media.<\/p>\n
