Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>An individual aged about 40 years old was caught last Saturday (04-01) trying to steal sheets and medicines from Namiepe Health Centre in Namicopo administrative post, Nampula city.<\/p>\n After his arrest, the man said he was from Muidumbe district in Cabo Delgado, it as a result being assumed that he was an insurgent gathering medicines and other supplies for fellow insurgents in the province, the locus of terrorist attacks for more than five years.<\/p>\n In addition, one of the telephone contacts provided by the individual, who is currently being held at the 5th precinct police station in Nampula city, is that of another Muidumbe resident.<\/p>\n The incident is a matter of concern to the management of the health centre, which is awaiting clarification after legal procedures by the competent authorities.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Friday night, at about midnight, we were surprised by an unknown individual who entered the wards, put on an apron and tried to vandalize a compartment in the health unit,\u201d Namiepe Health Centre director Germano Bacar told reporters.<\/p>\n The director said in an interview that the alleged terrorist already had sheets in his bag, and that he tried to break down the door to the cupboard where they kept sheets. Likewise, the apron he was wearing was stolen from one of the wards.<\/p>\n \u201cHe also stole some procedure gloves. When I went to the police station to see who he was, he was still wearing them,\u201d Bacar said, adding that he had tried to contact an alleged relative of the alleged terrorist who also resides in Muidumbe, Cabo Delgado province, but without success.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is not the first time that this has happened. We even lost some log-books, and have been surprised by some of the sectors vandalized. Unfortunately, we were never lucky enough to neutralize the bad guys.
