Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Water levels continue to rise at the Congerenge station in Niassa province and Guru\u0301e\u0300 in Zambe\u0301zia province on the Rovuma and Licungo rivers respectively.<\/p>\n

The Regional Water Administration of the North Region (ARA-Norte) has reiterated its call for all authorities and residents to observe precautionary measures pertaining to floods.<\/p>\n

In its latest bulletin, cited by AIM, ARA-Norte repots that the Rovuma river at Congerenge station was at 0.37 metres above the alert level, while at Guru\u0301e\u0300, the Licungo river was 0.92 metres above the mark.<\/p>\n

The bulletin also reports that there is a reduction in hydrographic levels in some areas of the Rovuma, Messalo, Montepuez, Ligonha, Megaruma and Lu\u0301rio rivers. However, it notes, in the last 24 hours there has been a gradual rise in some [other] areas of the basins of the rivers Licungo (Tacuane), Messalo (Nacapa and Marrupa), Lu\u0301rio (Muite), Melu\u0301li (Moma-Boror, Nametil, Namai\u0301ta) and Rovuma (Matitima).<\/p>\n
