Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Mozambique\u2019s Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI), Banco Internacional de Moc\u0327ambique (Millennium BIM) and Standard Bank are the three systemically important credit institutions in the country, the Mozambican regulator announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

They are the same as last year, with BCI and Millennium BIM swapping positions, according to the same source.<\/p>\n

The result of the assessment, which the central bank is due to publish by the end of April, was published yesterday in Noti\u0301cias, the country\u2019s main daily newspaper.<\/p>\n

In the Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) scores, BCI tops the list with 253 points, followed by Millennium bim with 238 and Standard Bank with 131.<\/p>\n

Absa Moc\u0327ambique Bank maintains its position of near-systemic importance, with 95 points.<\/p>\n

The list includes another 30 domestic institutions that the Bank of Mozambique considers not to be of systemic importance.<\/p>\n

The law requires the central bank to publish the list of credit institutions classified as \u2018D-SIB\u2019 or \u2018near D-SIB\u2019 by 30 April of each year based on data reported on 31 December of the previous year.<\/p>\n
