Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Water supply to the cities of Maputo and Matola and the town of Boane \u201chas been experiencing anomalies \u201d since this Thursday morning, May 4th, the Empresa A\u0301guas da Regia\u0303o Metropolitana de Maputo (AdRMM) announced yesterday in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe situation stems from a breakdown in the main power line that feeds the Umbelu\u0301zi catchment, water treatment plant [ETA], in Maputo Province,\u201d the communique reveals.<\/p>\n

As a consequence, there has been \u201ca drop in water pressure and pockets of water cuts in several neighbourhoods supplied by the Umbelu\u0301zi system\u201d, AdRMM adds.<\/p>\n

Work is under way to restore normal service, the statement reads.<\/p>\n
