The man promptly took the baby boy to the nearest police station, The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) say the baby is in good health.<\/p>\n

As fate would have it, the homeless person was trying to find shelter from the cold of the night when he came across the baby.<\/p>\n

The police promptly took the baby to a health unit. A subsequent medical report states that the infant is a healthy new-born.<\/p>\n

Women interviewed by Miramar, who had seen the abandoned new-born, expressed disgust at the act.<\/p>\n

The abandonment of newborn babies, some found lifeless in garbage containers and others fortunately rescued alive from similar places, is a frequent cause of concern all over the country.<\/p>\n
