Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Seven minors, aged between 11 and 16, were recently rescued from captivity in places where they were being held for the purposes of sexual exploitation in Ango\u0301nia district, Tete province.<\/p>\n

The provincial Director of Gender, Children and Social Action said that the cases have already been reported to the competent authorities and will follow the appropriate legal procedures.<\/p>\n

\u201cParents and guardians from home must monitor their children, and in society, so that we can fight for the end of this. Premature unions are a major concern and we have to denounce them,\u201d said Graziela Portima\u0303o, quoted today by Radio Mozambique.<\/p>\n

Similar cases occur in almost the entire province, but they are not reported, according to Portima\u0303o.<\/p>\n
