Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Mozambican National Health System\u2019s capacity for timely diagnosis and treatment has just been strengthened with the delivery of 28 ambulances and hospital surgical equipment, Radio Mozambique reports.<\/p>\n

Part of the material, acquired with the support of the Japanese government, is intended for assistance in terms of first aid and to improve the performance of health units, said Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ambulances, the equipment and medical materials must necessarily contribute to improving the performance of the sector,\u201d Minister Tiago said. \u201cWe want to urge health professionals and the beneficiaries of this equipment to use it in a rational way and maintain it well, so that it serves today and for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Japanese Ambassador to Mozambique, Hajime Kimura, said that the aid package also includes cardiac monitors and oxygen concentrators, among other cardio-respiratory equipment.<\/p>\n
