Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The general command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) has issued 14 guidelines on agents\u2019 use of social networks, such as unnecessary exposure via photo or video, while in uniform, and the performing of erotic dances or sexual poses.<\/p>\n

In a document consulted by Lusa on Wednesday, the leadership of the PRM states that the police \u201cshould refrain as much as possible\u201d from adopting behaviours which clash with the 14 situations mentioned.<\/p>\n

Corporation members are also prohibited from engaging in behaviour that jeopardises their personality and personal and professional suitability on social networks.<\/p>\n

They must not post events related to the PRM, publish photos that show weapons, coats of arms, uniforms, vehicles or protective equipment, disclose operational information or provide party-political or derogatory information to public bodies, authorities or other individuals.<\/p>\n

They are also prohibited from publishing and sharing unconfirmed and false news, as well as outbursts and verbal attacks on family members, friends, acquaintances, colleagues and personalities.<\/p>\n

The PRM General Command also demands that agents stop sharing videos, audios and photographs that attack people involved in contexts where the authorities are active or sharing violent and obscene episodes.<\/p>\n

Police officers are also prohibited from sharing information that incites prejudice and conflict or that may tarnish the image of an institution of person.<\/p>\n

The order from the General Command of the PRM lays down that the directives must be disseminated through the civic and patriotic classes given to the agents, and result from the institution\u2019s concern with the conduct of \u201csome policemen in uniform\u201d portrayed \u201cin poses that indicate debauchery on digital platforms\u201d.<\/p>\n
