Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The company A\u0301guas do Norte in Niassa currently registered a shortfall of more than five million meticais (US$78,375) from water loss due to mains ruptures, meter failure and consumer debts.<\/p>\n

These problems mean that the company is unable to expand water distribution to new customers.<\/p>\n

Despite this situation, Empresa A\u0301guas do Norte has increased water distribution in the cities of Lichinga and Cuamba from eight to ten-and-half hours a day.<\/p>\n

The improvement results for a rise in the levels of abstraction in the water systems that supply the two cities.<\/p>\n

The information was provided by the spokesman for the Council of Provincial Services for State Representation in Niassa, Vasco Ncole.<\/p>\n
