Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Kenya\u2019s president, William Ruto, begins a two-day state visit to Mozambique this Thursday to assess the level of cooperation between the two countries, the office of Mozambique\u2019s president, Filpe Nyusi, announced in a statement.<\/p>\n

The Kenyan head of state will hold talks with his counterpart in Mozambique on the consensus reached at the second session of the Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries, which took place from Monday to Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The two presidents will also \u201cshare information on the political, economic and social situation in the two countries, the region, the continent and the world,\u201d the note adds.<\/p>\n

Mozambique\u2019s minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Vero\u0301nica Macamo, on Wednesday called for \u201cgreater dynamism\u201d in cooperation with Kenya, through the \u201cintensification\u201d of bilateral economic relations, in anticipation of Ruto\u2019s visit to Maputo.<\/p>\n

Kenya\u2019s minister for foreign affairs and diaspora affairs, Alfred Mutua, has also advocated for deepening economic and trade ties between countries on the continent, noting that countries in Africa tend to export and import more from partners in other continents.<\/p>\n
