Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The 58th Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM), Mozambique\u2019s largest event of its kind, kicked off on Monday, with a total of 2,500 companies from Mozambique and abroad taking part, according to organisers.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors will be spread over 12 pavilions, occupying a total area of 30,000 cubic metres, according to a note from Mozambique\u2019s Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), sent to Lusa.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of FACIM 2023 was led by President Filipe Nyusi.<\/p>\n

FACIM 2023t is to run until Sunday and expects to receive at least 50,000 visitors.<\/p>\n

Of the total number of exhibitors, 2,050 are from Mozambique and 450 from a total of 25 countries, up from 20 last year. These countries include Portugal, Italy, Zambia, India, Brazil, Angola, Germany and France.<\/p>\n

The total number of exhibitors has also increased this year compared to last year\u2019s fair, where 2,100 companies were represented.<\/p>\n

From Portugal there are 11 exhibitors from sectors such as construction, new technologies, metallurgy, logistics and pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n

According to APIEX, a Mozambique-South Africa Business Forum will be held on the sidelines of FACIM on Friday, September 1st, as an event aimed at \u201cpublicising business and investment opportunities between the two countries\u201d as well as fostering business partnerships.<\/p>\n
